January 17, 2023 - Nose has a tart cranberry character with a little cherry pit too. Something sweeter too like a sliced damson.

Palate has good grip, crunchy red fruits and a little white pepper. Not the longest finish but for what it is this is showing very nicely indeed.

March 24, 2019 - After 24 hours in a carafe this 2005 vintage opened up completely. What a difference in taste in comparison to yesterday. Not a classic Burgundy to me. Still youthfull, focus on fruit, high acidity.

September 20, 2010 - Diesel/dirty/funky nose; fuller, deeper red fruits than the 06 Savigny. Delicious on the palate, a little bit of spice, very round fruit, deep flavors. 92+

August 13, 2008 - medium plum color, fruit and some spice on nose, lot of fruit on palate, back of mouth puckers with this wine, good acidity, moderate tannin, fruit on palate and finish.

February 9, 2008 - 2005 Burgundy Overachievers Tasting (Vineyardgate): Ruby, turning fuschia at the rim. The nose is dominated by high toned red fruit and a sort of odd spice aroma. Not pickle, not pine tar, just unusual. On the palate, a slightly creamy, oaky mouthfeel, with flavors of super tangy red fruit and very savory green tobacco. Much more savory and vegetal than the other wines here, perhaps rustic but not unripe or green. Lightly structured, with good length and slightly astringent tannin. This should drink well sooner than the Langres or the Aux Clous, but i'd be inclined to hold for now.
