December 12, 2023 - Salon Ficofi Paris walkabout tasting and dinner, no detailed tasting notes. Earthy, dense, still a bit rustic.

February 11, 2023 - A very intriguing wine. On sampling at initial opening there was an extravagant bouquet of red cherry and allspice, but the palate was dominated by prominent acidity and drying tannins. After that initial sample the wine remained open for 4 hours with a 3-hour decant before we drank it with dinner (seared duck in a Pinot Noir sauce). At that point the wine was much more integrated, putting on weight and roundness, although the tannins were still clearly present. The intense spice and mix of red and dark cherry fruit remained throughout. If anything, this bottle continued to improve over the 2+ hours it was consumed. The tannins and acidity suggest that with more time in the cellar this will yet improve, but with a long decant it is very enjoyable now. 93-94

June 17, 2020 - Oak has folded in, but still present. Broad and somber (which is the word I keep coming back to). Redish fruit, coriander, beet root, saline. Structured finish. Not overdone, but just not overly delineated but firm enough there is no rush but also lacking a bit of verve. Improved over the first two hours open and then held steady. Probably this will always be a bit backwards.

February 29, 2020 - It got better with air. I recommend decanting for 2 hours or letting it age longer.

October 7, 2019 - Surprisingly in its 3rd phase already but certainly holding up with dignity. Autumnal promenade in a forest and walking through its beautiful and poetic scents, that's is what you have in the glass. Actually the nose is simply gorgeous with splendid dried rose petals and no need to sniff as the superb aromas comes out of the glass with its own poetry and you are simply drawn to it as if looking at a gorgeous landscape. We had this with simply grilled Song i mushroom known as Shiitake mushroom in Japanese and the match was simply divine. The ideal taste and texture with this gorgeous wine with its multiple layers of flavors and aromas. Life is beautiful indeed. Cheers,
