February 12, 2023 - Not sure what to make of this bottle, first tasted in 2008, then in 2019 with a lower score. I did not have high hopes for my last bottle, but I was proved wrong. Nice ruby color with reddish brown on the edges. Though it took about 25 minutes to come around, the 2006 Melville was delicious and a great pairing with various kinds of chicken wings and assorted other small bites. Strawberries, cherries and raspberries with hints of earthiness, herbalness and floral in the nose. Also lots of strawberries and cherries in the flavor along with spice. Nice complexity, well balanced, medium bodied and a medium to long finish.

August 21, 2020 - Wine is in a very nice spot and IMO has another five years of very good drinking.

October 21, 2019 - Last tasted in 2008. Other than the color, there were still similarities in the tasting notes. Black raspberries, cherries, and strawberries in the nose with floral, earthiness, and herbs. Strawberries, cherries, and spice in the flavor. medium to full bodied and a medium to long finish.
