April 19, 2024 - This Auslese was the potion of the gods. Over 30 years old, and then so clear, powerful, complex and brought into complete harmony with perfect acidity. Cool, energetic, mouthwatering, the sweetness largely reduced; with a very, very long finish.

October 31, 2010 - Mid gold; whiff of pineapple, exotic ( when compared to 1999), exhuberant; touch of spice, beautifully balanced; lovely now but no hurry, lingering.

February 12, 2009 - In der Nase eine Variante des Petroltons, geht in Richtung Schuhpolitur - das klingt vielleicht nicht so lecker, macht sich aber gar nicht schlecht. Dahinter zunächst sehr diskret, nach Belüftung etwas stärker, weisse Pfirsiche. Im Mund richtig Klasse! Gutes Volumen, mittlere Süsse und Säure perfekt integriert und im Gleichgewicht. Leichte mineralische Noten. Vor allem aber fein, tief (was heisst das eigentlich? ... da hatten wir gestern eine kurze Diskussion drüber...) und sehr lang. Ein deutliches Stück über dem letzte Woche probierten 1997er. Ex-Icono, offen. (92/100)
