  February 14, 2011 - You'd think you were eating chocolate covered cherries as opposed to drinking wine. Wow - this was all it was made out to be by the enthusiastic sales person at the local wine shop.

  July 21, 2009 - REally like this wine. Nice complexity with just the right amount of dark fruit. Not overly jammy, but definitely a Cali zin.

  October 1, 2008 - Big, huge, jammy extracted style similar to venge's Scout's Honor. A bit rustic and super high in alcohohl but somehow holds everything together in a pseudo balance.

  February 14, 2008 - I tried this at a recommendation from the owner, Charlie Mara, after having raved about the 2003 vintage from the Luvisi Ranch. This wine was on par with the 2003 which, by the way, out-dueled a 1982 Chateau Le Gay that we were saving for a special occasion.
  
  Both the 2003 and the 2005 Mara Zinfandels are superb wines, very fruity and flavorful with a linger taste left on your palate. This sensation is right out of a newly opened bottle, not even decanted. Incredible!
