Community Tasting Notes 3

June 12, 2012 - Farewell Dinner (Charlie Trotter's, Chicago IL): From 6L. Fairly powerful white orchard fruit and lemon with pretty floral. Densely packed aromatics and showing some wood. Concentrated fruit and spice on the palate as well. Mineral backbone. Lots of power and not showing a lot of elegance as this point in this size format.

June 12, 2012 - Farewell to a Great Restaurant (Charlie Trotter's - Chicago IL): From 6L. Slightly floral start with concentrated orchard fruit aromas and lots of new oak spice. Brawny, concentrated fruit on palate with lots of extract, but this has not yet developed much charm or finesse. If served blind, I would not have thought it Montrachet.

August 13, 2010 - Dark citrus flavors. Super ripe - big wine. Tending towards more orange tones. Firmly structured. Tons of body, will be interesting to see how the more limited structure keeps up, but some great elements and loads of everything.
