Community Tasting Notes 2

February 18, 2024 - Having recently enjoyed and loved the 2019, and seeing how much more this was like that on the second day, I’d suggest cellaring for 2 more years to get this at its best. On day one this us too much alcohol heat and oak influence. Day two this is all cool dark fruit and the oak’s major influence is tannic structure and subtle framing.
Super Barbera- as the note below implies- there are not many Barbera D’Albas in this class- Elio Sandri, Aldo Conterno and Chiara Boschis are the only ones I’ve tried that would compete with this.
