November 12, 2017 - Light brick-red color with orange/yellow rim. The beautiful nose was reluctant initially, but with air, it opened to provide rose petals, cherry, raspberry, campfire, leaves, and earth. The palate comes across as well-aged with cherry, raspberry, and orange blossom complimented by cola, autumnal notes, and earthy sasparilla. The acidity pokes through a bit, making it feel slightly over the hill, but the mouthfeel is light-bodied and silky. Overall, this wine has begun the graceful downhill slide, but it is still complex and has some enjoyable drinking to provide before the sun sets. Drink sooner rather than later.

May 20, 2015 - Spicy red fruit. Good acidity, making this very light and refreshing tasting. Still seems young to me, but very delightful to drink now.

June 22, 2014 - Blood red center with pink rim. Intoxicating, red-fruited and spice nose that is one of the highlights of this wine. The palate is refined with cherry and red raspberry coupled to well managed oak, providing a touch of spice. The satin mouthfeel and balanced acidity make it a lovely drink. The finish is adequate and pure. Overall, this wine continues to deliver pure red fruit and spice with a great mouthfeel. I keep wondering why I don't have more in the cellar.

December 28, 2012 - Light red color with watery, orange rim. The nose is airy and red fruited with cherry, raspberry, and floral notes. On the palate, it has vibrant cherry, raspberry and spicy cinnamon flavors. This excels in the mouth because of its vibrant acidity and silky mouthfeel. The finish is long and melds the lovely red fruit with vanilla undertones. Overall, this was consistent with other Windy Oaks wines because of its wonderful mouthfeel, red fruit, and zippy mouthfeel. It should age beautifully because of its balance.

October 20, 2012 - Gift from Steve and Sue - consumed on the night. Showed well relative to the WesMar Hellanthal.
