Community Tasting Notes 3

June 3, 2011 - Deep ruby core with evolved garnet rims. Developing but not really singing aromas of ripe black fruit, plum, blueberry, chocolate, oak, spices and sous-bois with volatility. Medium high alcohol level with medium high amount of fine-grained silky tannins combined with medium acidity makes this wine well balanced. Ripe and plush juicy texture combined with the high fruit-intensity together with the above average length makes this very gulpable also some complexity but not too much which makes this a pretty boring yet well made. Well made and in no hurry to be drunk as it still quite tightly knit and more on the young side. Very good quality but it sadly left me uninspired.

September 4, 2010 - Very elegant wine! On the nose it had some fruit and tobacco. Taste was very firm with silky tannins. Would have expected more fruit, but still there were notes of cherry. Very long aftertaste! Definitely will improve with ageing.

    September 3, 2009 - Bright ruby.
Plum and dark cherry nose complemented by notes of herbs and overpowering cappucino oak toast.
Medium bodied palate with some grip and overall nice dry style. Juicy red berry fruit and pronounced bitter herb character lead to a oak smothered finish.
Too young be judged, but definitely not appealing at the moment.
