October 8, 2021 - Though my current favourite gin is Ryan Reynold's Aviation, Beefeater's London Dry is fine for a cocktail like the classic Negroni. Any 'rough' edges are hidden by the Campari and Vermouth. It is what it is.
Cheers. 🥃

By comparison rougher, more direct, less elegant than Bombay Sapphire. Shy on the nose with strong medicinal aromas near to eau de cologne. In the mouth it is slightly unbalanced with each element at its own leisure. It needs a slice of lemon immediately. Still ready to be mixed with tonic and refresh the half-world throttles.

January 14, 2017 - Entry-level Gin. Very strong taste of alcohol, with not much left in terms of aromas. Ok for Gin-Tonic. Avoid for Martini or Negroni.

November 22, 2016 - Basic gin. Hot. Average but affordable. Just fine with tonic.

April 18, 2015 - WSET Level 4 Course - WSET School; 9/6/2014-5/23/2015 (WSET School, Bermondsey): Appearance: This is clear, water-white and colourless.
Nose: The nose is clean showing pronounced intensity aromas of Citrus notes, juniper, cereal, fruit sweetness. This is un-aged.
Palate: This is dry in the mouth with warming alcohol. It has a medium body and pronounced intensity flavours of Citrus notes(orange, lemon), juniper, cereal, fruit sweetness, earthy, mint. It has an oily viscosity. The finish is long and very complex.
Conclusion: It is a very good quality spirit. Well integrated alcohol, well balanced, good complexity. Standard Price (£19.98)
