Community Tasting Notes 3

May 13, 2019 - Notes from Day 2 open (unrefrigerated on the counter overnight). On the nose, charcoal, black raspberry, a not subtle application of wood, and a nice perfume. On the palate, excellent wild strawberry, chewy raspberry compote, great aciidty, and finely grained tannin on the soft finish. This btl was completely mature, and would not, for my palate, be better with additional age.

December 12, 2014 - Galoots Lunch (Double Zero Napoletano- Sandy Springs): In a very good place, red to darker berry, black pepper, tapenade, leather, not flashy but solidly done; good.

September 8, 2007 - Clean and classic Cote Rotie. A bit tight and monolithic, but has black olives, pepper, smoke and rich blackberry and blueberry fruit. This seems to want aboout 3 more years in the cellar...
