August 18, 2014 - I take my last note back. This is still very good indeed. Dark and minerally, with lashings of fruit. Thank goodness for screwcaps!

July 5, 2014 - (MidWinter Brunner:Truffles+Wagyu+TextBookWines) Black tar, bright acidity, green and leafy, hints of cab? Leafy spice, soft, inviting and inky nosed. Complete on the palate - meaty, juicy, ripe, velvety, savoury, ferrous, plums with gentle sweetness. Finish show licorice and elegant tea sweetness. Drinking at peak now - a complete, complex, introverted wine that deserves thought and good conversation. Fantastic - why do they not make this any more?!

January 1, 2011 - Smooth. Rich spice asnd black fruit. Tannins are faded leaving ripe fruit and alcohol sticking out. Will not improve. Drink up.
