Community Tasting Notes 4

March 7, 2011 - A hot mess in my book - not overly alcoholic tasting, but has a motor oil syrupiness to it that makes it fatiguing to the palate. Although it is a blend, it's hard to figure out what is in this stuff - no varietal distinctiveness can be detected among the bruising jamminess.

July 6, 2009 - Deep, dark garnet in color.
Wonderful fruit bomb, berry aroma, with medium-length cedar. Noticable alcohol.
Smooth and velvety in texture, strong tannic backbone supports the berry base, leaving a very balanced perception, ending in tart cherry.
Great drinking wine, paired with grilled beef and chicken kabobs, corn on the cob and mozzarella caprise.

April 11, 2009 - big, rich, not subtle, in your face heavy aussie style

June 2, 2008 - Drinking beautifully. Dark purple. Notes of cedar and black rasberry on the nose. In the mouth, great length and substantial mouthfeel. This is my favorite wine from this producer. Great blend.
