Community Tasting Notes 33

  • Eric B Does not like this wine:

February 16, 2019 - This wine is turning to vinegar at this point.

April 30, 2016 - Tired. After some air a bit of fruit developed on the nose, adding to the crunchy tart fruits on the palate. Decent acid still there, but had an odd spritz on many tastes. Drink up.

September 12, 2012 - Drink soon if you have this wine. It softened quite a bit since I had it more than 2 years ago.

July 9, 2011 - Drinking really well right now, first timer with this wine and it made very nice impressions. A fuller style Pinot with an especially interesting bouquet of flavors including some cherry licorice to go along with lush strawberry. Will seek more wine from this producer...

March 19, 2011 - Another very nice bottle of pinot from Phillips Hill. Matched and even surpassed the first bottle I had from this winery. A light style of pinot that shows very good red fruit and floral notes on the nose followed by strawberry, sour cherry and raspberry on the palate with a nice, but not overdone spine of acidity. Delicious wine that is improving with age.
