Community Tasting Notes 4

February 7, 2010 - I was a bit congested when tasting, but this had a clear raisined/dried fruit quality to it. Surprisingly dark in color for an inexpensive Nebbiolo. Still tannic with plenty of acid. Seemed to lack a bit of freshness in the fruit character, though. Wouldn't be a re-buy for me.

    January 28, 2010 - WIML90

Tasted January 28, 2010 as part of the WinExiles monthly tasting for January. Opened and glass decanted about an hour before serving. Garnet to slightly dark garnet color in the glass, fairly clear hue throughout. Nose of red licorice, balsamic, florals and some mixed red fruits. Flavors of red berries, red cherries, a bit of raspberry and a slight note of bitters on the medium finish. Bright acidity, medium to firm tannins, medium body. Drink or hold.

November 25, 2008 - Nice, a step up for an italian at this price range. Cherries, leather, and some spice. Went well with a red pasta dish but was alos nice on its own. A nice rec from JoeG!
