Community Tasting Notes 2

April 2, 2016 - I am surprised. When pouring in, the yellow gold color immediately catches the eye. Given the age, I thought this was not going to be enjoyable anymore. The first nose though gives another opinion. I smell honey and some floral and light vegetal notes. I am a bit nervous about tasting. Suprisingly, the wine is stilll very enjoyable. Both honey and vegetal notes return. The vegetal aspect leans into the direction of asparagus. This Chardonnay holds a nice balance between sweetness and acidity. A truly am surprised. Firstly, I did not expect anything good coming out of the bottle. Secondly, I did not expect something so nicely balanced. The body is medium to full (+), the texture is smooth. The wine finishes medium (+). The wine has medium acidity (+). Obviously Madame Juillot was not lying, when she told us that their white wines are very capable of cellaring. Such a pity I did not get more. Well done!

June 25, 2008 - Golden color. Floral aroma with hints of toast and ripe tropical fruits. Medium bodied on the palate, mainly notes of peach, honey and nuts. Very young at this stage, and I would love to try this in 3-5 years.
