April 2, 2024 - Grands Jours de Bourgogne - 2022 Clos Vougoet (Chateau de Clos Vougeot): New Label design. I liked the old one better. I don’t know what it is with Burgundy vignerons, they are so trigger happy to update their label, especially when a new generation takes helm. Look at Armand Rousseau’s Chambertin, Lafite Rothschild, DRC, Chave Hermitage. Label is brand and brand is label. Don’t touch it! Their 2022 Clos Vougeot was one of the lighter wines today with lovely raspberry and underbrush aromas.

March 22, 2024 - Vosne Millésime - Noblesse des Clos Vougeot - Les Grands Jours de Bourgogne (Château du Clos de Vougeot): Walkaround tasting with producers. Red cherry with beef cooked rare. More firm than others in the lineup, this isn't powerful per se, but also not in the elegant fashion of those others.
