April 15, 2013 - Good wine, not great. Lots of dried fruit character. Prune. Solid acidity.

May 24, 2011 - Right off the bat, black olives on the nose. Brownish-red coloring. Still some pretty firm tannins and good acids. Well structured. Needed some air to come alive. Second day -- after a fair amount of air and some rest, it is alive with juicy black licorice flavors. Very prototypically Italian in structure and style.
