July 21, 2023 - Corryton Burge (Strand Cellars): "Served blind.
Age on the nose; minty, meaty, leather, ripe red fruit, a little baked earth, herbaceous underpin. Juicy, ripe, red fruit, slight alcohol warmth, tannins near resolved but offer a drying and slightly woody textured. Not for me.
Thought this might be a cab blend from South Australia produced in the late 80's/early 90's

July 19, 2023 - Closed at first, but soon reveals intense flavours of prune, cassis, and raspberry. Silky-smooth, but with mouth-puckering acidity and tannin. Hints of oxidation, and a note of balsamic vinegar, indicate this may be past its best, though still delicious.

September 13, 2020 - It took a long time to open up in the decanter(3 hours), but once it did it just kept developing over the next 3 hours. Starting with great dark brambly fruit. The finish was the best watermelon flavor....it stayed in your mouth at least another 30 seconds after it was consumed. Who would have thought a 22 year old GSM would have this much flavor. Still thinking about this wine the next day.

October 1, 2010 - Nice and smooth, but probably a little over its prime
