  December 11, 2010 - Gorgeous Cru. A baby; I wish I had bought more, and laid some down. Fresh strawberry, cherry, some earthiness. Nice cut made it a beauty with dinner.

  June 13, 2010 - nose: cranberry, spice
  palate: well-composed, it sits pleasantly on the tongue, with balanced acidity and tannin. Flavors are fruity, but not simplistic. There is a slight bitterness on the midpalate/finish that detracts, but only barely. I really enjoy the plush, velvet mouthfeel. Nice stuff. I will take Rimmerman's advice and cellar the next bottle for a few more years. 88 pts
  
  Second night: markedly improved, the bitterness disappeared and the fruit came to the fore, still complemented by fine acidity and layered tannin. Delicious! Great purchase. 90 pts.

  March 23, 2010 - Clear, dark garnet color. Aromas of Black Cherry with mushrooms, a little forest floor, beef blood, and a little bit of pine. On the palate, rich and concentrated Black Cherry, boysenberry, and a little mushroom. Great mouth-feel, great structure, long finish, and no rough edges. This seems to be transforming into something very Pinot-like. It will be interesting to see how this develops over the next few years.
