Community Tasting Notes 7

January 27, 2018 - Decanted 1hr, cellared for nearly 9 years, last tasted April, 2016. Very nice balance between the tart cherry, cassis, plum and earth, oak and acidity. Still vibrant, with a lovely soft finish.

April 4, 2016 - PNP, last tasted 3/2011, tannins have integrated but not completely, a bit one dimensional. The nose has some plum, heat, and hints of green. The palate is pruned, with some veggies notes, a bit of spice helps the low complexity, firm acidity and still a few years left of life.

March 24, 2016 - Pop n pour. No heat. Dark. Fresh. Very easy to drink. Lots of menthol and raspberry on the nose. Palette reveals dark fruit. Blackberry ,black cherry, cassis, vanilla, a touch of plum and oak. Very enjoyable and easy to drink. Not extremely complex, but not a simple wine by any means. Long finish. Very enjoyable. I wish I had more.

February 14, 2013 - Great nose - dark and lush wine that was very enjoyable.

August 3, 2012 - Interesting bottle. Mixed initial verdict ultimately was thumbs up. A bit hot on opening. Not their best effort but certainly drinkable.
