  May 20, 2012 - Dark, purple core with ruby rim. The nose was packed with dark fruit and American oak. In the mouth, there was dark cherry with a confected sweet tart flavor coupled with american oak. There is good acidity in this medium-bodied package, and the finish is average. Overall, this is OK but comes across as overmanipulated and bitter, possibly due to the oak treatment and extraction.
