March 15, 2013 - Opened the last of these. very good. so good I have to ask myself why don't I buy more Delectus? Full bodied, lots of flavoer, and of all the Cali cabs i ever had, this producer/vineyard is very distinctive. This one was pretty much ready.

August 15, 2010 - My original concerns was the high alcohol in this wine; was not a factor. In fact, I could not detect a harshness caused by high alcohol levels at all. Very drinkable. Legs ran slowly and coated the glass in sheets. cork was not deeply stained either but the wine was deeply colored. This producer continues to put out wines that, although not absolutely spectacular, are consistently pretty decent just the same. I think this will age at least another 5 years. The winery advised to drink this one sooner than later due to the high alcohol, but I think this will still have the guts to go the distance and not become overwhelmed by the alcohol.

February 19, 2010 - Black currant, olive and coconut on the nose. Lots of black currant, blackberry and ginger spice flavors in the mouth. A little on the hot side.

August 19, 2009 - V ery good. Lots of black fruit, some olive, euc, green pepper that is so very cabernet. A decent amount of chocolate and sweet spice from the oak as well. This is pretty standard, big dark, bold, calicab to me. That said, after letting it open for about an hour I really enoyed. Not a must buy at this price, but a very solid effort.

May 26, 2008 - The color is a dark purple all the way to the rim. The nose opens has a interesting mix of mint, currant and blackberry with a touch of chocolate. The currant and chocolate continue on through the palate with some red cherry added to the mix. The finish is medium to long in length with the tannins well integrated.
