  February 28, 2021 - I like my wines with some age on them, but this is a little past its prime for my tastes. However the structure remains to give a strong hint of past glory.
  
  The nose is actually quite lively - with an aged rustic personality. Earthy and dark flavors of blackberries, blueberry, leather and pepper.
  
  Disappointingly, the fruit has dried up on the palate - leaving sour notes with an acidity that lingers on the finish.
  
  Four years ago I’m sure this was a winner, but my score is based on where the wine is now.
  
  Luckily, this wine was recently given to me from a collection of bottles that were past their prime. Most ended up being used for sangria.

  May 26, 2017 - Excellent Syrah but has lost a bit of luster from our taste at the vineyard. Probably cellared a bit too long. Still, after decanting, we enjoyed the full body and mouth feel.

  January 25, 2017 - Meaty nose along with blackberry, raspberry and black cherry. The palate matches - really tasty, meat/beef jerky with fruit flavors second and spice/oak third with integrated medium acid & tannins. Complex, layered, balanced and tasty; very well made, a good qpr, I wish I had more. Drinking great now and I don't see it declining soon.
