November 3, 2020 - Smoke and red fruit on the nose, on the palate red fruit: cherries, red currant, still some gaz (which was much more pronounced some years ago). The wine is developing with aeration, but remains still a well made Poulsard, nothing more.

For the story: We have been in 2008 or so in Pupillin at the domaine to taste the wines available: one red and one white wine. We sat in the kitchen and heard the story that they fill barrel by barrel in bottles, every barrel could have its specificities.
I bought six white and six red wines, price of the bottle was 12 € for the red. I found the white wine extraordinary and the red wine good to very good for the level. Unluckily the domaine became speculative.

February 26, 2020 - Carafé 3 heures avant dégustation. Le vin est pur, net et gourmand. Aucune déviation perceptible. Un peu de perlant, selon mes invités.

July 11, 2009 - Takes about 90 minutes to open up, but its worth waiting for. Lovely crunchy red fruits, rose hips, with a touch of bretty funkiness, just a little mouth prickle but juicy acidity with the red fruit and a good long finish. Loved this one, especially good with a garlicky humus on sourdough bread.
A little riper and more fun than the 07 version for the moment.

January 19, 2009 - A whiff of bread yeast, then pure red fruits. Lovely and oh so well balanced with the structure buried under the fruit at the moment. With air the acidity and even some tannin show up, but this is really easy to drink now. Fantastic. No evidence of the barnyard of the 2002 version.
