December 13, 2023 - Drank this during a wine dinner at Phoenix Garden (Ngee Ann City). Theme of the Evening: Langton's Exceptional Cabernet Dinner. Wines were served two at a time for comparison and contrast.
A blend of 5 grape types, made up of 74% Cabernet Sauvignon, 16% Merlot, 5% Malbec, 4% Cabernet Franc and 1% Petit Verdot. With the Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot making up 90% of the composition, the other 3 lesser grape types complimented the leading grapes, presenting a unified, formidable line-up. As compared to the 2005 Mount Mary Quintet, this wine is more straightforward and comprehensible. Inky, powerful, classic Margaret River. Dark black fruits backed by cassis, mushrooms, and floral freshness.1 person found this helpful Comment -

April 3, 2023 - Boom! What a wine. Nearly twenty years on and the fruits is still so powerful and bright. Certainly a bigger Diana Madeline in style, but so muscular and impressive. Blackcurrant, dark plum, hint of eucalypt, cedar, bay leaf. Lots of delicious complexity. A memorable wine of place.

March 5, 2022 - This was a treat. Started a bit ‘whiffy’ and sweet but after an hour decant presented ultra stylishly. Really great balance, purity and structure. Black and blue fruits, tobacco and slate. Had a real ethereal nature to the tension (structure) within the wine as it delivered the flavour experience. Simply beautiful and just got better and better over a few hours.
