May 22, 2017 - Bright garnet in color. Nose of cherries and stewed strawberries with hint of leather. Tastes of cherries, tobacco, and hint of ripe peaches and tar. Lovely fruit, acidity, and balance. Long finish with sneaky tannins. Still young. May improve over next 5+ years.

February 27, 2016 - Side by side tasting with the Halleck 2006 Clone 828. The Farm was a bit better, starting with a mushroom nose, which was perfect with the mushroom risotto. The body was lighter than the 828 and with better acidity. This was a mature, savory drink with baked strawberry pie as the fruit impression and lingering earthy finish.

March 6, 2015 - Nose is baked cherry crisp, a little mushroom. Mouth is round, acidity still present, cherry torte. Delicious with baked salmon.

December 11, 2014 - Substantially better than my last bottle. Maybe a touch of VA, but not in a bad way. In a good place - drink now.

August 2, 2014 - Adding another point as this keeps improving with age. Still great raspberry, cola, spice on nose. Tannins have completely smoothed out and wine is developing secondary characteristics of mature cherries, orange peel, sweet cedar. I think this wine may peak at the ten year point.
