January 11, 2006 - Hazy plum color, with moderate bricking along the edges; nondescript cherry and plum flavors; a bit dried out with chalky tannins and considerable heat on the finish. When I first tasted this wine several years ago, it had an effusive bouquet and lots of fruit, but painful tannins levels. Unfortunately, it looks like the tannins are outliving the fruit.
