October 10, 2020 - Really needs air to flesh out and shine. On day two this developed a gorgeous nose of sous bois and cherry fruit that was reminiscent of aged Ecard SLB wines. A real treat and very Burgundian.

Le nez est moyennement ouvert, cerise, cuir.
En bouche, le vin manque de nervosité sans être plat. L'acidité est faible, les tanins tout à fait intégré. La typicité animal et sous-bois est mince. Le fruit mur et le cuir tanné.
Sans défaut apparent mais anonyme en considérant mes expériences passés avec les vins de Joe Davis.
Vraisemblablement au delà de sa belle période de consommation. -

December 19, 2011 - Red fruit (raspberry?) with liqueur, loam, baking spice, white pepper. Fairly viscous, pretty concentrated red fruit flavors, peppery. Juicy, fruity but alternately serious with interesting bitter notes. Good acidity. Some brambly notes. A great and balanced CA Pinot Noir that has the intriguing elements of a good village Burgundy with a little extra fleshiness.
