August 1, 2017 - Still heaps of aniseed, fresh licorice, dried herbs and lots of fruit. Beatiful.

April 19, 2017 - It rarely gets any better than this! An aged Coonawarra Shiraz at its absolute best. Lots of layers of flavour going on here. On the nose the first thing you notice is the aniseed, the white pepper and the leather. You get 'new car smell'. All still with a fresh black fruit backbone. The palate has softened nicely but still has some nice fine grained tannins, plenty of aniseed, baking spices and cooked plums. Great length. Great flavour. Great wine.

April 8, 2016 - Beautifully softened on both the nose and palate. The nose had some cooked plum, some vanilla, some leather and some lovely floral lift. The palate has subtle notes of pepper with blackcurrant juice and vanilla. At its peak.

November 16, 2013 - Vanilla-oak flavours perhaps a little too dominant but plenty of plummy fruit and some spice. Not a complex wine but good for the style. Nine years old and still full of life, acid and tannin still have some time to run. Great value and good longevity for a $25 wine.
