December 23, 2019 - Burgundy Dinner with a Friend (The Bristol - Chicago IL): Open an hour before serving. So rich and ripe, yet so clearly Vosne with sweet spice and mostly red fruit. Perhaps slightly compact to start, then quickly unraveling with plenty of power and the concentration of the vintage. This was more fun than the 2005 in the next glass to start, but will not be the same wine in the long-term.

May 27, 2019 - Aromatique sur les fruits cuits, la prune, le kirsch. L'attaque est agréable avec de la densité et une jolie qualité de tanin. Hélas, l'ensemble est grignoté puis dominé par une sensation de chaleur qui trouvera son paroxysme sur une finale ardente comme j'en ai rarement eu sur du pinot.
Le suivi sur deux jours n'y changera rien, on m'a changé mon Vosne pour un jeune Châteauneuf d'année solaire. Imbuvable, tellement c'est déséquilibré, la moitié de la bouteille a fini en désinfectant pour l'évier... -

May 20, 2017 - Another example of the 2006's starting to enter drinking windows. We popped and poured, and sampled over 2 hours. This drinks reasonably well out of the bottle, and with 30 minutes is in a good spot. Still primary and showing a touch of tannin on the finish, but this is elegant, showing nice ripe, elegant fruit, and works well with food right now as well as on its own. Will get better but in a decent spot right now. A-
