October 11, 2016 - Clear, ruby red. Slightly developed, quite one-dimensional aromas with cherries on the nose and not much more. Nebbiolo-like on the palate, with medium fruit, high tannin level and ditto acidity. Not really balanced, and maybe a couple of years over the peak?

May 30, 2013 - Nose offers up cherry, plum, spice. Lovely ripe soft fruit with great balance. Nice mineral acidity. Conplete from front to back.

October 14, 2011 - From 375mL. This was really excellent and drinking amazingly well from this format. Sexy, intoxicating nose of purple flowers, Asian spices, red currant, forest floor, and herbs. A great balance of fruit, dried flowers, and earth on the palate, with some spice thrown in. Really nice acidity. A great pairing with duck - the red fruits really come out once you drink this with food.

August 12, 2010 - Drank this way too young. Stemmy tannins still dominate - it has some nice spice and body, but not ready to drink yet.

October 5, 2009 - Fine Vines Fall Grand Tasting (OneSixtyBlue, Chicago IL): nose: well balanced and fragrant tones of wood spices, violets, red fruits and red cherries. Somewhat tart on the nose with nice depth

taste: good medium feel, but doesn't seem to have the depth that nose did. Well balanced tones of wood spices, violets, red fruits and some mixed berry tones all work well togther with medium+ acidity and good tannins accompanying it

overall: a nice young Vosne. Needs some time to have the palate come around to the nose, but there is some promise on it. The tannins and acidity are a bit tough right now, so some patience will be needed
