Community Tasting Notes 4

February 4, 2018 - Well, not so good. I could smell and taste some good structural elements but something was off. Sour, mildly flabby fruit. Some burnt elements to the nose. It was okay but not all it could be.

March 28, 2015 - Upsettingly lactic on the nose. Was hoping to see some evolution as the wine breathed but this cheesiness did not blow off.
There is a current of concentration in the wine, but this wine, like others of his that I have tried, misses the purity of fruit and expression that I expect from Burgundy. The aromas flavors are muddled.

June 9, 2012 - Piuze and Pacalet (Arlequin Wine Merchant, San Francisco): Light with some browning. Earth filled nose. Light weight but harmonious (more so than the other 2 wines). Gently sweet entry, moderately tannic finish, adequate aciditiy. Quite Gevrey in style.

October 28, 2009 - Dressner Day 1 (NYC): Good, but I'd take the Chambolle if I had my choice. 90+
