Community Tasting Notes 12

February 11, 2011 - Maybe past its prime but still very enjoyable. On the nose, pears and honey. Still very well balanced on the palate between the pears, honey and acid. Very nice mouthfeel and a good finish. fine with food and as a by itself sipper. My last bottle, would definitely buy again.

March 15, 2010 - Still drinkable, but sadly past its prime. I remember this as a much better wine. Most of the fruit gone. Honey and acid and oily oak are left.

January 19, 2010 - Golden pale yellow color (5/5), nose of honeyed pear & citrus (12/15). Taste (9/10) is full & fruity, putting forth good balance of acidity & citrus fruits, maybe some grass. A rather nice long pleasing finish (8/10), fruit lasting awhile with some minerality. With good balanced acidity & mouthfeel it still has pretty aging (3/5) ability left to it. I didn't take any notes when I had my first bottle, but with this one I'm wishing I had more. It is quite a good wine overall (4/5).

May 1, 2009 - Color is pale yellow. Bouquet is honey and pear. On the palate, a nice balance between acid and fruit, nice mouthfeel. Maybe a touch of oak and minerals on the finish, which is short but nice enough to want another sip quickly. Excellent as both a sipper and accompanying pasta with white clam sauce. Wish I had more than one bottle left.

November 23, 2008 - A little sweet for me. Nice acidity making it food friendly. A pleasant wine, but too much RS.
