March 27, 2008 - Weißburgunder/Grauburgunder blend. This might be the biggest oak treated wine I've had out of Germany. At the beginning there was oak all over this wine, so I decanted it for nearly one hour. The hour later the nose smelled much more "white wine like" with exotic fruits, honeydew and still bursts of vanilla. The midpalate is getting better over time, but the finish is buttered popcorn all day long. No score from me this time.
