February 22, 2021 - This was a classic, medium body, and indeed very pleasant Bordeaux.
It actually surprised me as it had gotten quite elegant, even distinguished and well balanced with the qualities of a fine grand cru Bordeaux characteristics. Indeed difficult to fine noticeable flaws and while not the finest, nor memorable, at times this kind of surprise actually remain in your memories and incite you look out for a moderate vintages which are more affordable for these reliable Chateaux. Very pleasant indeed. Cheers,

January 10, 2021 - Needed 4 hours in the decanter at present. No fade, bramble nose, youthful, soft wine but with decent fruit. Still some youthful tarriness at this stage. Fills out over time. Decent flavour, moderate extraction, short finish. A good example of a rain affected vintage.

October 25, 2020 - easy drinking but I worry it will dry out, I would drink this over the next year or so

    January 5, 2020 - Awesome classic

October 13, 2019 - A classic St Julien and very attractive notwithstanding the vintage. Compared with d'Armailhac 07, tasted a week before, this was redder in colour (rather than purple) and lighter/more fragrant on both nose and palate, but still had attractive sweet fruit, lent extra complexity by aromas of tobacco leaf and lead pencil (the latter much less pronounced than in the d'Armailhac). Lovely
