  February 24, 2022 - Benziger Estate’s flagship wine. This was a very good wine but perhaps a bit of its peak drinking window. A Bordeaux style wine with a very nice nose/aroma, soft tannins and nice finish.

  August 5, 2017 - Almost ready - wish I had another bottle to open in 3-5 years.
  
  Immediately after opening, some odd volatiles on the palate. Half an hour later, they were gone.
  
  Faded ruby in the glass with a hint of brown. Dried plum on the nose.
  
  Amazingly soft, refined, and balanced for what was a big cab when younger. After 2 hours, nearly perfect, with a hint of tannins remaining.
  
  Drink happily now or hold a bit longer if it's been cellared properly. This bottle was in a wine fridge for most of its life. If yours has been at room temp, drink now.

  March 2, 2015 - Wine had a jammy feel to me. Showed some age, but could go longer. Tannins still present, but not overpowering at all. Awesome wine.

  April 19, 2014 - - Crimsom color with medium forming legs and aromas of strawberry jam. It's balanced and has flavours of tea, tobacco, raspberry, raisin and chocolate with a full body. Fleshy texture with a long finish.

  April 18, 2014 - i had purchased several bottles of this from the winery in 2008. I opened two last night and they both had turned.
  I store them in a EuroCave, so not sure if anyone else experienced this...
