August 8, 2020 - Strawberry fruit, perfume, and citrus. Very precise sweetness with moderate plus length and complexity. Drinking very well. More Chambolle than Gevrey. Very good. 93+

June 13, 2018 - Bright, elegant red fruits. Like a lot of 2006s it’s a bit strict still. I don’t sense the hail except perhaps it’s a bit thin in the middle. Pretty floral nose. Starting to drink now but best in a few years still.

June 18, 2015 - Wine of the night and showing real class. Light and bright on the palate. Fine but tight tannins. This wine already has a real charm. Will surely get better with more time.

February 20, 2014 - Not anywhere near ready, this. Very intriguing aromatically; problems are on the palate -- finish in particular. Quite clipped in that regard, with an accompanying excessive amount of what one might call "dry extract". Wine is of course well-made by all appearances and otherwise balanced, and has great texture, so there is hope for it. Try again in about 5 years.

Day 2 appendix: finish is better, and on the overall the wine is very well-rounded. Quite GC in nature. Doesn't change the initial assessment, however, in fact probably only bolsters it: don't open yet -- the best is yet to come.

October 28, 2013 - Zachys in Chicago (EL Ideas - Chicago IL): Sweet black fruit with plenty of spice aromas. Lush on palate, again showing all black fruit. Slightly more Roumier than Gevrey to me tonight, not really showing the spice character or sauvage of Gevrey, but perhaps that will come with more time in the cellar. Moderate power and length.
