Community Tasting Notes 1

January 30, 2009 - From 375mL. Poured golden, thick, and slightly cloudy, without a hint of mousse. Great nose - wonderfully complex tertiary notes of mushroom and white chocolate but with a touch of madeira. Like liqueur of Champagne on the palate - heavy mouthfeel that teeters on the edge of over-the-hill but with enough bright citricity and touch of spritz to hold things in balance. Finishes with toffee/caramel type notes. Tasty and very enjoyable.
