March 4, 2021 - A very nice Angelus, while not a major one. Aromas of cassis, leather, graphite on the nose. Some spices and hints smokiness too. On the palate it is very nicely balanced, pretty focused and has an enjoyable freshnessthanks to its good acidity. It is very long, and the tanins are round and subtle. I very much enjoyed it, the wine seems a bit more tight than when I last tasted it 5 years ago, which is surprising. Peak probably a few years ahead. Will try again in 3/4 years. Decanted for an hour, drunk in Riedel vinum
