May 16, 2020 - Outstanding example of the 2002 vintage. Dark fruits and big mouthfeel but still good balance.

September 6, 2018 - This would be an unusually high score for me, but this bottle is truly singing right now. Had with charred porcini dusted ribeye and was an incredible pairing. The producer makes wine for the long haul, and at 16 this is just barely in it's early prime. Fruit (blue) is still in front but ultra refined with coffee notes, volcanic ash, and graphite elements supporting in the background. Sadly, only bottle.

June 22, 2018 - Classic Cali Cab. Still tons of fruit at age 16. Olives and prunes with blackberry jam. Some grippy tannins considering its age. Not sure if those will fully resolve. This does not feel over the top and has some good nuance.
