December 24, 2015 - First experience with aged Barolo. Christmas Eve at Nick's house. Quite interesting - initially very earthy, evolved over 3 hours with slight raisiny taste, a little chocolate, and some leather. Dusty mouth feel. Enjoyable. Would have paired better with beef rather than the family recipe spaghetti and meat sauce.

August 3, 2014 - Rich, yeasty, floral. Like a chianti mixed in with some cab. Enjoyable.

December 31, 2013 - Three hour decant
Earthy, restrained nose even now, plums, brandy
Restrained red fruits, simply beautiful tannins, lead pencil, tobacco
I am a big fan of '97 Barolos and this village cru is representative of why after great '95 and '96 these wines really took off. Just great drinking and very typical of a great Barolo -

June 26, 2012 - Improved with decant for 1+ hour. Nose of candied cherries. Some heat on the nose. Palate of cheer y, red fruit, quite sweet, enough acidity to keep it in check. Long finish. Some spicy aspect mid-palate.
