April 24, 2015 - Found during an inventory and I didn't have very high expectations - but what a treat!
Tons of pine, rust, forrest floor and black fruit on the nose. High tingling acidity, refreshing tannins and a gorgeous "dirty" taste. More pine, moss, raw meat and cocoa with that black fruitiness tying everything together.

At that procepoint, it's a steal if you have the patience.

December 25, 2013 - Having had much older versions of this, it was clear to me that this was young. The good news, however, was that despite its dark core and fuzzy tannins, there was still a lot of interesting stuff going on here. The nose had some funk that comes from its 100% mourvedre composition. Funky, earthy, smokey, it's a real nice melagne of smells. The palate had dark dark fruits, and a very masculine smoked earth, and underbrush notes. As mentioned above, the tannins were pretty fuzzy, but after about 90 minutes of air they really softened up. Yummy stuff, and with proper storage, I feel like it'll really hit its stride in another 5-7 yeras.

February 11, 2012 - Really starting to come around now, showing signs of better integration. Still young though with rough but pleasant tannins that mellowed out a bit on day 2. Would'nt be surprised if this peaks in another 5 years.
