December 15, 2011 - Popped and poured. Aromas are slightly more mild than the previous two vintages. This still has the beef aromas, but there's also a slightly eggy component, coupled with stewed plums and figs. A bit dirty. Palate entry is soft and light in body, with light red fruits, ground beef, some soil, and mild tannins and spice building. Tart acid on the finish here too, and this has the most pleasent finish between the 2006 and 2005 I've had in recent days. The acid is pretty seamless and soft, with light bits of menthol and sour cherry present. Overall, still a slightly meaty, soil driven flavors on the finish too. Nice, and very drinkable.

April 6, 2010 - Still going strong. Nice aromas, good acidity and structure with a juicy finish. Ideal everyday wine.

January 31, 2010 - The campfire was not as pronounced on this bottle as the last, which made it much more pleasant.

December 15, 2009 - A lot going on in this wine but not all of it pleasing. I had a hard time getting past the funky dankness, oil and smoke on the nose which covered the fruit and spice. I could see where some would enjoy it as a matter of taste but for me it reduced the enjoyment.
