January 19, 2013 - Signs of aging with bricking on the edges. Strong red currant and cherry underneath the thin veil of vanilla (American Oak, I believe). The 15.25% alcohol stands out on the finish though it is not hot.

May 5, 2011 - Disappointed. Day 1--Oaksicle. Days 2 & 3--Aussie-esque with big, s lightly flabby dark fruit. Fans of this style may like the wine more than I did. Surprised because I have really enjoyed the several other Cass wines I have tasted in the past. Also, this wine is 1/3 or so Mouvedre (a grape I love), but I got none of the typical characteristics here.
