March 5, 2015 - I bought this in March 2008 and have been storing it hoping it will be awesome. Unfortunately, no. As others have said, it's past it's best days (if there was any). Although it only cost me $10, so it wasn't a big investment.

Thin on the nose and palate. Balanced, but not much there.

May 27, 2013 - bought a variety of low priced 05 Bordeaux based on strength of vintage for everyday drinking. This one was passed over, shame, its best days have passed. drink up if you have any.

March 15, 2011 - Nose: light cherries and strawberry. A touch of green moss. On the palate: No pronounced tannins. Actually tannins are very well integrated, but the wine could use just a little more as it lacks some life. However, nice well balanced with an improved bouqueue after 1 1/2 hours. Some slight caramel notes.

September 18, 2010 - My last bottle of this. This was a cheap 'drink now' wine from the stellar 2005 vintage, and is past it's prime, but still drinkable. It's taking on a sour, more astringent character. Having said that, my earlier tasting notes still pretty much apply.

Color: Dark purple-ruby. Nose: Sour cherries and eucalyptus. Underneath that are some florals that are becoming more like a cleaning product....and of all things...oregano. On the palate: Smooth and round, the fruit is a tad more muted and integral but that's a good thing. It sings with sour cherries, black currant, and transitions into a midpalate of balancing acidity, and a lot of earthiness for a simpler cru bourgeois. Soil, funk, pepper, and dirty tobacco are all in the midpalate. The midpalate to finish transition brings some weedy green characteristics and eucalyptus. Pretty herbaceous as it moves into the finish where you notice some grippy tannins for the first time. As it has aged, the finish has become more astringent. Last taste of this wine was June 2010. This wine was probably peak in summer of 2009, bIt was fading in June, and now starting to jump the shark. Drink up people.

It sings with sour cherries, black currant, and transitions into a midpalate of balancing acidity, and a lot of earthiness for a simpler cru bourgeois. This wine was probably peak then, but is still near peak now. Scoring it 88, one point lower. Drink up people.
