October 12, 2021 - Apparently the fruit is from Maume. This Mazis is concentrated, lush with deep core. On the nose a bit of cherry and aniseed, very elegant. Black cherry intermingle with red cherry on the palate with a deep sense of earthiness that unfolds in the mouth and really coats the palate. It is not a sexy wine and probably not a wine that’s gonna win any flair competition but it is a great burg. Starting to really enjoy Laurent’s offerings.

March 17, 2017 - Great nose. Absolutely not too old. In the mouth, the tannin's are now well integrated. Very very pleasant to drink. Loads of fruit. Long.

January 31, 2014 - Upon opening, classical burgundy nose. No barnyard. A pleasant taste. Silky, with quite prominent but not disturbing tannin's. After decanting, the wine is youthful, but the acidity is quite prominent in the mouth. Somewhat foursquare. Still, an excellent wine. It is quite long and subtle. And certainly not overoaked.

June 8, 2013 - Initially nice dark fruit with barnyard aromas. By the second glass became very chemically and lost most of its finish. Bottle variation?

April 17, 2011 - This was all about earth. Lots of acidity, tons of funk on the initial pour, most of which blew away leading to an interesting and nice nose of forest floor, truffle, a bit of barnyard and spice, with blue fruits giving some nice tension to the acidity. Frankly, not sure if it was young with a long life ahead, or if you should drink up now, but certainly no reason to wait, it is drinking nicely.
