March 18, 2009 - Very nice wine. Spicy fruit on nose & palate. Moderate finish. Syrah dominates. Been drinking this for at least 16 vintages. My fave dependable delicious wine in this price range.

April 12, 2008 - interesting wine, aromas of rubber and dry brush, there is some green wild grass and under-ripe fruit taste, with strong acidity, very much a character of a wine, missing fruit though

(Château La Roque Pic St. Loup) Nice tart berry, pepper nose; pepper, tart berry, tart black fruit, anise palate, aging nicely; medium-plus finish

(Chateau La Roque Pic Saint Loup) #2; COLOR-dark; NOSE-nice chalk dust & charcoal play; little strawberry as well; also some radish / horseradish as well; after drinking, also picking up raspberry as well; PALATE-nice; light & delicate floral and raspberry flavors (more raspberry than I've seen in a long time); little chalk dust; little chocolate; medium to full bodied; packs a solid punch; has good tannins; not over-oaked; don't love it, but I like it and a solid play for $14 bones; GV-88
