October 5, 2023 - Surprisingly delicious. Opened using The Durand, cork was firm, very little seepage. Drank in a Zalto Bordeaux denk'art glass.

Lots of vanilla on the nose upon opening that had me suspicious. But that faded rather quickly to more typical pine forest, tobacco, and faint red berry that wasn’t too aromatic.

Creamy red berry fruit greeted the palate like cherry, raspberry, and cranberry. Very fresh and vibrant for a 17 year old wine, no sign of any oxidation. Some earthy notes emerge on the finish, but it is really about the perfectly ripe fresh fruit.

The cellar tracker drink dates for this wine are way off. The bottle could have easily made it to 2030. Outstanding QPR at $40 US dollars.

December 1, 2021 - Still doing great, mellowed out a bit, but still good depth and grip

September 11, 2020 - Still drinking very well. Benefited from a one hour decant and paired with pepper steak and Season 2 of Cobra Kai. Beautiful!

May 2, 2020 - Going well. Still showing fruit on the nose. BlackBerry and cherry. Stewed plum. Tobacco. Acidic and fine tannins. Graphite tobacco and hint of menthol. Some tertiary flavour coming in. Much better than a bottle tried a year ago. Cork here was great.
