March 12, 2012 - Ripe and smoky, delicious with planked salmon on the grill. Classic, lush Carneros Pinot nicely balancing big fruit with enough tannins to make for long, enjoyable finish.

August 7, 2010 - Trip to Copenhagen (Copenhagen): Nose of pepper and red berries with some acidity in there. The taste is kind of soft even though it is california style peppery. Very balanced acidity. Tasted of red berries with mostly red currant and rowanberry. The finish is strong and nice with even more pepper. The sommelier recommended this wine with dry aged beef and it worked really well together - I was kind of surprised of the result.

July 8, 2009 - A very impressive Pinot, given to me by a friend of the winemaker. Impressively lacking the over-the-top characteristics of many other Carneros Pinots. Instead, the fruit is evident but mild, with a great finish. Excellent on the nose as well.
